Purpose of the Position
This 12-month Business Traineeship is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills and work in a role with on the job training while completing a nationally recognised qualification. This is a 12-month position, ideal for someone starting out in their career and looking to get a head start. This position will work closely with a variety of team members and learn from experienced professionals. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in business and gain the skills and knowledge they need to become successful.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to the business team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars and preparing documents.
- Monitor shared email inbox, responding to enquiries and actioning tasks from students, lecturers and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Order and receive goods and services in accordance with approved procedures using Batchelor Institute systems.
- Support activities for VET Teaching teams, including assistance with the production and storage of course and unit materials, population of templates, print materials.
- Participate in identified training. The successful applicant will undertake a recognized Business qualification at an appropriate VET level as part of their duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams within the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and organisations.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication which can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all educational levels.
- Demonstrated initiative and managing workload priorities.
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.
