We are on the lookout for a motivated individual to join a vibrant team within State Government. Working as a General Business Services Officer Trainee, you will be supported to learn everything from the ground up.
Located in Fitzroy, the successful candidate will be working a full time role and provided time to complete studies in the workplace, earn as you learn!
The successful candidate will gain experience in the workplace by assisting in various administrative tasks and duties, including but not limited to:
- Supporting the completion of administrative functions
- Assist with day-to-day functions of the Helpdesk, including redirecting incoming mail and responding to phone enquires.
- Under general direction, provide assistance with office processes and corporate information systems such as records management, financial information, and client payments.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Provide support and assistance in the presentation of meetings and conferences, including coordinating papers, organising venues, catering, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Suggest system and process improvements and work in collaboration to implement the agreed solutions
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
