AddressBusiness Administration Traineeship
NECA Education and Careers, in collaboration with a State Government department, invites applications for a full-time Business Trainee position located in Parkville. This 12-month employment opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to work full-time while completing a nationally recognized qualification. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Complete general administrative functions such as answering telephones, sorting mail, meeting room bookings, data processing and filling.
- Assist and provide support to the Business Services staff on various tasks and projects.
- Create and maintain various records and correspondence—both manual and electronic.
- General word processing and data entry.
- Assist with Stores functions such as inventory control, goods receiving and delivery.
- Liaise with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Department.
- Any reasonable additional tasks as required or requested by the Assistant Manager Business Service
Key Selection Criteria:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to maximize efficiency.
- Innovative skills to continuously improve processes, systems, and practices.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Solid written communication skills with attention to detail and experience in preparing correspondence and documents.
- Proficiency in MS office programs
