The Business Transition Owner will join a key NSW State Government department to represent the business and ensure the successful transition of multiple internal and external entities to a consolidated claims system, along with new frameworks and contract arrangements. Act as a first point of contact and subject matter expert on specific program deliverables, technology and data migration business requirements and impacts. Model operational design changes and own operational readiness for the Transition stream within the Program.
This is a Business role and will suit someone who has extensive insurance domain knowledge and has experience with related frameworks, processes and systems. Your direct team will consist of a Program Manager, Project Coordinator and Change Manager and business analysts and other key resources will be available across the Program.
Responsibilities:
Perform the role of Business Owner for the Transition Stream
Ensure that the needs of the business are clearly represented, understood and that the delivered product delivers the right business outcome.
Provide guidance and direction to Business Technology partners in relation to scope, priority and success measurements.
Facilitate and support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of best practice frameworks, methodologies and procedures for future state.
Work with the Workers Compensation Program Streams, Workers Compensation, Agency Engagement team & Claims Service Provider Engagement teams to build requirements scoping, prioritisation, and sign off of change.
Liaise with all key business stakeholders and engage with subject matter expert resources to support detailed requirements.
Review and endorse functional requirements and design and business process change.
Provide input and advice into training and capability requirements.
Act as a first point of contact for tools and best practice processes for the business.
Ensure adherence to delivery framework, process and procedures (including documentation and reporting requirements)
Support Project teams with post Implementation reviews and change management planning.
Experience:
Mandatory - strong experience with Insurance frameworks, systems and processes
Mandatory - strong experience transitioning from legacy systems to new insurance related systems and processes
Highly desirable - experience with the NSW Workers Compensation scheme and processes
