Due to continued growth Nexus Airlines is actively seeking expressions of interest for additional Cabin Crew Emergency Procedures Trainers across all our bases in WA including Broome, Geraldton, and Perth.
About the role:
As Cabin Crew Emergency Procedures Trainer your main role will be to provide Emergency Procedures initial and recurrent training for Cabin Crew and FlightCrew, in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Develop and deliver as specified (both practical and theoretical components) of Aircrew safety and Emergency Procedures, dangerous goods, first aid and CRM/NTS facilitation
- Ensuring that Aircrew standards are maintained to the highest level in accordance with the requirements of the company operations manual(s)
- Ensure that course materials are compliant with company procedures and relevant legislation
- Ensuring all relevant CASA statutory requirements related to aircrew training and checking, are adhered to
- Develop and deliver ground training course materials as directed by the Cabin Crew Training Manager
- Other duties as directed by the Cabin Crew Manager and Cabin Crew Training Manager
- Ability to obtain and hold a general emergencies procedures approval and facilitate initial & recurrent Emergency procedures training and assessment for Cabin Crew and Flight Crew
- Provide performance/training feedback to Cabin Crew and Flight Crew
- Provide mentoring and coaching to Cabin Crew and Flight Crew
- Conduct line proficiency assessment for Cabin Crew online when required as a Cabin Crew Check and Trainer ensuring the highest possible cabin performance standards in safety, customer service, operations and corporate image are met
- Conduct remedial and refresher training where required
- Operate as Cabin Crew as and when required. This role is a dual role and operating as Cabin Crew and retaining currency is a requirement
- Other duties as reasonably directed and in keeping with position

As a Cabin Crew Emergency Procedures Trainer, you must have a very high standard of personal discipline, you will need to possess excellent time management skills with the ability to think on your feet, excellent confidence and a real passion for training and people. You will need to enjoy working with people from all walks of life and have a genuine interest in wanting to make our customers experience with us and enjoyable one. A natural passion for people, ability to remain composed and calm under pressure, and be resilient in unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies is essential as well as the following:
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate with CPR and 12-month validity
- Successfully complete a pre-employment health assessment including drug and alcohol pathology screening
- Possess a high level of both written and spoken English (Language Proficiency Level 6)
- Valid passport with minimum 18 months validity
- Hold Australian citizenship / residency or be a citizen of New Zealand
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification card (ASIC)
- Minimum of 2 years as operating Cabin Crew
