Wonderful Wardrobes is a Tasmania’s longest established wardrobe company, which has been operating since 1987. Our factory and showroom are located 1080 Cambridge Road, Cambridge, with the business installing our custom made products across the southern region and (lower) east coast of Tasmania.
The original focus of the business (providing quality, affordable, custom wardrobe and storage solutions) has expanded to include a range of complimentary products that use similar materials, manufacture and installation process to give customers to opportunity for a one-stop shop for built in:
- wardrobe/cupboard doors
- wardrobe/ cupboard internals, including a range of accessories.
- laundry cabinetry
- kitchen cabinetry
- home office fit outs
- vanities and shaving cabinets
- shower screens
- mirrors
- splashbacks and
- balustrades.
We also manufacture and install custom-built free-standing furniture including cupboards, drawer units, shelving units, desks, side tables and even bedhead boards.

The role
Wonderful Wardrobes and Screens require an enthusiastic, experienced and well-presented individual to join our busy manufacturing and installation team.
This is a permanent full time (38 hours per week), Monday – Friday, with RDO entitlements and comes with use of a company vehicle.
The structure of the role and renumeration will be negotiated considering skills and experience.
We will offer other on-site training where required.
Qualifications, experience and required personal attributes
- Previous experience manufacturing and/or installing products of a similar nature is necessary, so ability to discuss, demonstrate and apply knowledge of various types of construction is required.
- Current knowledge of manufacturing machinery, such as using an edge bander or CNC flatbed is highly desirable.
- Great communication, problem solving, time management skills and an eye for detail are essential.
- Ability and willingness to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- It is important that our team are well presented and respectful individuals.
- Individuals must be proactive in maintaining clean work environments.
- It is essential that employees take a proactive approach to OH&S, considering not only themselves but others in the work environment.
- A solid basic math’s knowledge is required to quickly and accurately calculate measurements.
- Employees must be physically fit and capable of lifting large/heavy/ awkward materials (A medical examination may be required to verify before commencement).
- Is it mandatory that you hold a current Driver’s License and White Card.
- Completion of a relevant trade qualification or completion of vocational training coupled with industry experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
