Our Assets and Operations team in the Mid North Coast has numerous roles that we are currently recruiting for;
- Cable Jointer at Taree
- Powerline Workers at Taree (5), Kempsey, Bulahdelah and Stroud
- Electrical Technician at Bulahdelah
- Electrical Workers (Plant Operator) at Taree (2), Kempsey and Bulahdelah
About the Mid North Coast
Situated 400 kms north of Sydney the Mid North Coast has it all - beaches, subtropical national parks and forests, as well as rural farmland. The area is known for its pristine waterways and beaches, stunning hinterland with rivers, streams and forests.
About Taree
A historic town on the banks of the beautiful Manning River, Taree is the vibrant centre of the Manning Valley and a great base for exploring the national parks and beautiful beaches of the Barrington Coast. Taree has all of the facilities, accommodation, restaurants and cafes, farmers markets and activities you need, whilst still within commuting distance from coastal locations; Forster, Hallidays Point, Diamond Beach, Old Bar and Harrington.
About the Cable Jointer role at Taree
Being a Cable Jointer means you are responsible for the general construction, installation, connection, maintenance and repair of both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) distribution network assets and equipment with emphasis on those components directly related to the underground network.
About You
- Application of knowledge required to undertake the Cable Jointer role in an energy distribution environment
- Experience working effectively during times of both planned and unplanned events
- Participating and applying audits and safety processes
- Knowledge of relevant system switching, access procedure principles, tools, plant and equipment
- Complying and implementing enterprise WHS and environmental procedures and processes.
- Application of Cable Jointer trade skills in an energy distribution environment
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
- Able to successfully liaise with stakeholders and customers
- Computer skills appropriate for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing with electives in Install, Maintain, Fault Find, Switching and repair or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
- Drivers licence
- WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
- Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business.
