The Role:
As a member of our dynamic and forward thinking drafting office, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed Building Services design drawings suitable for distribution to our clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending site locally and interstate to survey existing services including reflected ceiling plans, in ceiling ductwork, lighting layout, fire services layouts, hydraulic installation and other services related items.
- Preparation of HVAC, electrical, fire and hydraulic services drawings in AutoCAD from engineer’s sketches and site audits.
- Attending site to review the installation of new works.
- Liaising with all members of a project design and drafting team to ensure design works are coordinated.
Skills and Experience:
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with AutoCAD software. All experience levels are welcome to apply. Formal qualifications in AutoCAD or experience working with Revit MEP would be an advantage.
- Have knowledge or experience working with either HVAC, electrical, fire or hydraulic services. Multidisciplinary would be an advantage.
- Have experience surveying existing conditions on site would be an advantage.
- Be fit enough and willing to carry and scale ladders, enter ceiling spaces, walk on roof spaces, and carry out other tasks that may be physically challenging.
- Have sound understanding of spatial requirements.
- Be willing to travel and stay overnight, or longer, to any Australian destination.
- Be proficient at driving and carry a C class license.
- Have proven written and verbal communication skills and sound problem-solving skills.
- Have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Have the ability to adapt seamlessly to change within the workplace
