Our client is a worldwide frontrunner in motor vehicle equipment manufacturing.
They are looking for a CAD Operator experienced in SolidWorks. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation and CAD drawings to support manufacturing of new and existing products.
Responisibilities:
- Create, maintain and modify drawings, engineering documents, procedures, instructions and labelling
- Planning and prioritising work based on incoming tasks in Asana
- Investigate opportunities to improve processes and identify functions that can be automated or streamlined incorporating audit recommendations
- Work closely with the Purchasing & Production teams to ensure products are manufactured to specification
- Work closely with project management in construction and support of Engineering Document Package (EDP) for new product designs and changes to existing parts
- Work closely with Production to resolve issues related to product design and manufacture
- Provide support as required for product design and testing
- Check documentation created (instructions, labels, drawings) making sure it conforms to the CAD Standard
- Compile product certification documentation for external stakeholders
- Conducting and documenting product first article inspections to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and experience:
- Completion of Year 12
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Experience using Solidworks or similar CAD packages
- Proven experience in mechanical and electronic assembly

Renumeration:
