New position based at Council's Aquatic Centre Café in Murwillumbah servicing the public, pool patrons, large school groups and Council staff. The role provides a welcoming environment to customers and assists the café operations team with the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the café and kiosk.
About the role:
- greet and welcome customers to the café and kiosk
- take orders and answer questions about menu items, specials and pricing
- process sales through the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and eftpos terminals
- assist in food preparation, special catering activities and stock control
- maintain a high standard of hygiene in kitchen and dining areas
What's on offer:
- a base salary ranging from $25.79 per hour with competency-based increments up to $27.00 per hour, plus 11.5% super
(Salary as proposed by the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre Enterprise Agreement (TRAC EA) increase effective from July 2024)

We are seeking:
- experience in food preparation and catering skills
- understanding of safe food handling and health standards
- excellent customer service skills
- experience in cash handling and using POS and eftpos terminals
- a Food Safety Supervisor certificate and / or barista experience is desirable
