The Opportunity:
Minda has a rare opportunity for an experienced Café Assistant to provide a positive customer and food experience to Café patrons, by assisting with food preparation and delivery, both front and back of house.The role is predominantly day shift; however, occasional weekend and evening work may be required to assist with functions.
Responsibilities include:
Provide customer service, cash handling, and assist with service of food and drink.
Assist with coffee and food preparation, food displays and merchandising.
Maintain kitchen and front of house hygiene and cleanliness.
Ensure Inventory / stock control and rotation of food supplies.
Contribute to a positive atmosphere where customers feel welcome and engaged.
Mentor Supported Employees with intellectual disability, who work in the Café.
What you must have:
Experience in front and back of house roles in cafés, restaurants or similar.
Strong work ethic, communication skills and customer service focus.
Ability to multitask and act decisively in a busy and demanding role.
Understanding of Work Health and Safety regulations and food safety standards.
RSA or RP accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
Able to work a flexible roster.
Experience working with individuals with disability is preferred.
Other Essential Requirements:
National NDIS Worker Screening
Valid and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence
Full vaccinations against COVID-19 (or a relevant medical exemption)
