Wangi District Workers Club is located on the western foreshore of stunning Lake Macquarie with full 180-degree view of Wangi Bay. The Club has two bars, full TAB facilities, Keno, a popular bistro which is contracted out, marina facilities, large auditorium and much more.

The club has waterfront cafe and alfresco area adjoining the club and is seeking a suitable Cafe Team Leader.

Our Team Leader ideally will have:

• Exceptional barista skills and knowledge about specialty coffee
• Previous experience supervising a fast-paced food and beverage outlet essential.
• Strong leadership experience
• Ability to manage and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Excellent time management and planning skills
• A passion for hospitality and will enjoy nurturing relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
• Exceptional presentation & confident interpersonal skills
• Current food and safety certificate
• sound knowledge of OH&S

Our new Team Leader will be responsible for:

• Leading a high performing team in running the daily operations such as the opening and closing of the cafe, ensuring its running is efficient and profitable.
• Training and managing a team of kitchen, barista and customer service staff.
• Stock ordering and control. Reporting to and liaising with senior management in achieving organisational goals. 

The successful candidate would preferably have experience working in managerial position with Food and Beverage sector, however we would like to hear from you if you have:

• An ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• A team player attitude and positive energy
• An experience in Hospitality Management Operations
