The role of Casual Camp Ground Attendant is responsible for assisting the Patonga Camp Ground in all areas of operation in particular grounds maintenance and public amenities cleaning and providing customer service and administration support.
The successful applicants will be employed on a casual day-to-day basis and will be required to be available to work between the hours of 6am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday (Flexible roster).
Key activities of this role include:
- Undertaking activities for maintenance including turf care, tree trimming, watering, landscaping, spraying and camping mat and bollard repair or replacement;
- Maintaining grounds equipment and cleaning of public amenities/utilities;
- Communicating with customers via telephone, email, face-to-face and processing reservation requests as required.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID 003) OR willingness to obtain;
- Current Chainsaw license or competency OR willingness to obtain within a specified period;
- Current NSW SafeWork OHS White Card OR willingness to obtain within a specified period;
- Current Ride on Mower competency OR willingness to obtain within a specified period;
- Demonstrated experience in a similar maintenance and public amenities cleaning related role;
- Demonstrated experience in the use and maintenance of a ride on mower, chainsaws, brush cutters, self-propelled mowers, pole saws, hand tools and other items of minor plant;
- Demonstrated flexible approach with the ability to work 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, over a variety of hours;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in WHS and its practical application on work sites;
- Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and handle difficult situations with tact;
- Demonstrated experience in providing customer service and administrative support;
- Demonstrated ability to participate and actively contribute in a team environment to achieve organisational goals and outcomes.
It is the responsibility of successful applicants to undertake a course of Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus vaccinations or to demonstrate their immunity prior to commencement of employment.
