Job description

Eureka Hospitality is seeking a motivated, Hospitality-loving Canteen Area Manager, excited to take the next step into multi-site management and take their career to the next level.

Reporting to the Executive Group, the role of Canteen Area Manager will oversee our Canteen portfolio, working with our team of dedicated Canteen Supervisors, at the following locations:

  • Overnewton College
  • Lowther Hall
  • Alamanda College
  • OLMC
  • Sacred Heart College

This role focuses on providing daily on-shift support, whilst working closely with the Executive Group to focus on improving site operations through training and system implementation. This is the perfect role for an individual who enjoys being hands on, but also enjoys working on behind the scenes operational development of group wide initiatives. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Canteen Supervisors in their day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service through hands on support
  • Maintaining standards in food and beverage quality, presentation, and delivery
  • Catering events; executing catering events with the assistance of Canteen Supervisors 
  • Assist with menu updates and implementation with the guidance from Executive Group
  • Provide daily support to supervisors whether that be in person or remote support
  • Point of contact for all Canteen supervisors; assisting them operations, training and guidance
  • Conduct quarterly training sessions for all canteen supervisors
  • Maintaining standards in Food Safety and compliance 
  • Ensuring best practice service levels from Supervisors and team members
  • Co-ordinating with Operations team & Director of People & Culture regarding training, venue improvements, and catering/events
  • Assisting with new venue setup, development, and implementation

Qualifications required:

  • Employee Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • First Aid Level 2 (or willing to obtain)
  • RSA (or willing to obtain)
  • Drivers license

What will set you apart from the rest:

  • Prior experience in multi-venue management or structure
  • Both back and front-of-house experience
  • Prior experience in setting up new venues
  • Prior use of Deputy staff management portal, MYOB, Abacus POS, and Foodstorm catering systems
