Weeks worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 30 hours per week - required to work across Monday to Friday of each week

Salary level, range or hourly rate: Services Staff - Level 3 - $32.21 per hour (School Salary Scale)/(Services Salary Scale)

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

About the role - We are seeking a Canteen Convenor to manage the efficient and effective day to day operation of the school Canteen and Cafes under the supervision of the Catering Manager. In addition, the applicant will assist the Catering Manager with the operation of the Canteen and Cafes, ordering of stock and maintain a clean, hygienic workspace and assist with the catering for College functions or events.

This role reports directly to the Principal, and has a key relationship with the Business Manager, Catering Manager and other members of the Leadership team, teachers, staff, volunteers and the wider community.

About you - you must demonstrate:

  • An ability to lead, plan, organise and assist with the day to day operations of the Canteen and Cafes
  • Experience in food service and knowledge of the nutritional requirements of school-aged children
  • Organisational skills, initiative and enthusiasm
  • Excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills
