About the role

A big part of this role is about providing short, medium to long term view of the capacity to complete the program of work state-wide. Act as a level of governance to oversee the workflow and demand.

Monitor and report the planned and actual volumes against the program of work and provide recommendations for delivery strategies informed by capacity assessments for teams based on resource availability, skills and fleet and equipment.

Seeking the information which is required, oversee the delivery of work and support our frontline teams in putting that work into play. You will need a willingness to travel as this role will be going out to the regional depots across SA, this also means flexibility in which SA Water location you can work out of.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop a view of the forecast program of work for each team across short, medium and long range and compare to historical trends
  • Contribute and implement a data management strategy to collect, analyse and report actual work vs planned work execution performance.
  • Identify pain points and input to the continuous improvement process to drive operational efficiency needs, including tools and systems.
  • Work to support a collaborative culture that improves focus on purpose, enhances motivation and gives members a sense of belonging.
  • Identify workflow risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure that the proposed work plan can be successfully implemented.
  • Provide supporting information to aid in the assessment of capacity to take on new work.

About the Person

Bring your experience with developing and implementing processes for optimising work schedules, coupled with the ability to influence change and persuade stakeholders by giving them the broader picture. The understanding of overseeing a program of work and being able to identify delivery constraints, and where the risks are and the work demand and Capacity and communicating them effectively, will see you succeed in this role.

It is necessary to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, having previous practice in routinely building, and maintaining effective and relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

  • Proven experience or tertiary qualification in appropriate discipline e.g. engineering, science, management
  • Experience in work management
  • Current drivers license
  • Experience with Maximo will be an advantage
