We are currently seeking an experienced Night Duty Care Worker to provide daily support to residents at our Bethanie Kingsley Aged Care Facility.
Bethanie Kingsley is one of our smaller site, a homely 37 bed facility with a focus on promoting independence and social activities.
Our Care Workers are an integral part of the care and support we provide to residents. Applicants with at least twelve months experience in a similar role in an aged care environment will be highly regarded.
This role is specifically for Night Duty shifts, working Mondays 11:00pm – 7:15am on a permanent basis with a total of 15.5 hours per fortnight. There may also be the opportunity to accept additional shifts when available.
About the Role:
You will support our residents to improve their quality of life by assisting with day to day activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is maintained while building positive and professional relationships with both residents and team members.
- Assess care plans and ensure residents' needs are met
- Ensure services (including food, laundry, personal care, domestic and interest) are delivered in a timely and safe manner
- Deliver personal care tasks (including toileting and showering) with dignity and respect
- Ensure residents' rooms and the facility environment is maintained to an appropriate standard
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team as well as independently
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Current police clearance, or willingness to apply for one
- Experience using iCare or similar computer package would be highly regarded
