Specific Accountabilities
Specific accountabilities are the outcomes that you are required to produce. They describe why your job exists.
- Ensures that all stakeholders are respected and treated with empathy and dignity through providing them with choice to live their daily life in a way that is special and unique to them and that is consistent with their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.
- Ensures an integrated calendar, activities and events are well communicated to clients and families and that the activities included are evaluated on completion.
- Ensures effective communication using the appropriate tools to the wider team to ensure that the client preferences and social needs are met.
- Contributes to client assessments including their life history or story that will inform an integrated care plan, individualised for each client. This should include past, present and future goals which focus on the strengths of the resident.
- Contributes to enriching the lives of individuals and their families through leisure, lifestyle, learning and spiritual activities.
- Contributes to clients having access to a wider community through contact with the community and by arranging outings that allow the resident to stay in communication and have meaningful relationships within their chosen community in a safe and healthful way.
- Contributes to wider Anglicare events by participation, assisting residents with building relationships within the Anglicare community.
- Contributes to all aspects of regulation and compliance for accreditation under Standard Three. Participates in the audit and continuous improvement process.
- Contribute to the safety culture by keeping the workplace safe, clean and tidy, complying always with safe work practices, participating in workplace consultation activities, actively participating in safety activities, including hazard and incident reporting as prescribed in the WHSIMS.
Education and Experience
- Required:
- Relevant Cert IV qualification or willingness to work towards this.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Relevant Cert IV qualification or willingness to work towards this.
- Preferable: Experience in Aged Care and thorough knowledge of accreditation guidelines.
