About us

We are a private Bush Camp on 80 acres in the forest and by the Murray river in Dwellingup that caters to the needs of schools, churches, youth groups, and other community-based groups. We can cater for over 300 across 3 large bunkhouses. We have been operating camps for over 40 years!

Job Description: 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Weekend Caretaker with proven experience to join our team at Nanga Bush Camp. As a Caretaker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the camp whilst performing a range of duties and key responsibilities. 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Welcome guests upon arrival, provide assistance with inquiries, and ensure their needs are met throughout their stay, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Security: Monitor the premises, ensuring the safety and security of guests and promptly address any concerns or issues that may arise.

General maintenance: ad-hoc weekend duties as required. 

Administrative Duties: check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maintain accurate records for bond inspections. 

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure the safety of guests and staff.

Relief Caretaking: Provide relief to our weekday caretaker from time to time.

Uphold the Nanga values and take a leadership role within the business fostering a culture of determined and passionate individuals who value teamwork, respect, safety and the environment.  

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar Caretaker or Caravan Park Environment necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and willingness to learn new skills as required.
  • Experience with bush fire management will be highly regarded.
  • You will be familiar with risk assessment protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
