This is a Permanent Part Time position that rosters Full-Time hours (Min 20 Hours per week on average 38 hour per week)

You must have the motivation and flexibility to work on a 7 day/ 38-hour rotational shift roster.

What you’ll be doing 
  • Duties in addition to include all lower grades.
  • Relief for team leader/supervisor when necessary.
  • Process import flights.
  • Prioritise special cargo for retrieval.
  • Report data to Australian Customs.
  • Ensure cargo is clear to move to the off-airport facility.
  • Adhere to airline, customs and quarantine procedure.
  • Complete bond checks.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers & assisting with enquiries and complaints. 
  • Create invoices and reconcile banking.
  • Process cash and electronic transactions.
  • Contact customers and advise them of customs clearance procedures.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture within the workforce – driving OH&S awareness and compliance.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and exercise initiative, discretion and judgement. 
  • Ensuring that productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrating decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment. 
  • Performing various administrative and reporting duties, including the operation of various communication and computer aides.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences:

  • Possess strong Cargo system and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Possess customer service experience.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be willing and able to work shift work.
  • Apply a detailed knowledge of company policy and procedure.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • High level attention to detail and numerical ability.
  • Working knowledge of operating procedures, requirements and systems. 
  • Dangerous Goods awareness and handling requirements.
  • Security Awareness. 
  • Hold and maintain valid Cat 2 ADA (Training Provided).
  • Hold and maintain valid ASIC (Training Provided).
  • Hold and maintain valid state drivers license.
