A reputable construction company based in Canberra is seeking a skilled Carpenter and/or an Apprentice Carpenter to join their team. The company specialises in providing high-quality plumbing and building services to clients and is currently looking for a full-time carpenter/apprentice who is competent in-swinging doors, and fix-outs, as well as building decks and pergolas.
The company is looking for an experienced Carpenter or a highly motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join their team.
The specific job responsibilities include:
- Performing carpentry duties including swinging doors, fix-outs, building decks, and pergolas.
- Capability to use power tools and a drop saw effectively and safely.
- Possessing a strong understanding of structural knowledge and applying it to carpentry projects.
- Following blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise work.
- Collaborating with other team members, including plumbers and builders, to complete projects efficiently.
- Communicating effectively with clients and addressing any questions or concerns regarding carpentry work.
- Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintaining and organising tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

To be considered for this position, you will require the following:
Requirements for Apprentice Carpenter:
- Previous experience as an Apprentice Carpenter or similar role is preferred.
- Competency in-swinging doors, fix-outs, building decks, and pergolas.
- Have your own power tools and a drop saw.
- Basic understanding of structural knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Requirements for Tradesman Carpenter:
- Proven experience as a Tradesman Carpenter or similar role.
- Possess all necessary tools required for carpentry work.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in swinging doors, fix-outs, building decks, and pergolas.
- In-depth understanding of structural knowledge and ability to apply it to various projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and clients.
