Case Manager
* Salary: $92,332 to $104,762 (Plus Superannuation)
* Fixed term role until 30 June 2025
* Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
* Usual work location: 17 Hardware Lane, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified social worker (or similar qualification) to join the Study Melbourne Hub, Victoria and help deliver a suite of welfare support services to international students whilst they study in Victoria.
Reporting to the Manager - Casework Team, the role will focus on day-to-day activities such as intake, assessment, case planning, referral, fostering a welcoming environment for international students visiting the centre and material aid provision. The Manager should also be comfortable giving presentations to groups of students and show perseverance working with a client group that often faces barriers to accessing mainstream services.
The responsibilities of the Case Manager will include, but are not limited to:
* Provide intake, assessment and casework services to international students
* Ensure that all casework, financial and project files are maintained to high standards
* Deliver services that are culturally responsive and support the empowerment of international students
* Provide a safe and welcoming service to international students in a study and event space. This includes practical facilities support, triage for urgent issues, preparing the SMHV for events and activities, and participating in reception duties as required.
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
* Demonstrated experience undertaking intake assessment, case planning and referrals
* Demonstrated and well-developed interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Relevant tertiary degree in Social Work or other related discipline
* Proficiency in languages other than English would be well regarded
