Find out more and .Your OpportunityAs a Case Manager for the Family Preservation Service (formerly known as Brighter Futures), you will provide targeted, specialized support to vulnerable children and families. Your work will ensure that children are healthy, safe, and thriving in nurturing environments. You will deliver outreach services by providing home visits to families in Narrandera, Griffith, and surrounding areas, addressing the unique challenges and needs of families.Your key responsibilities will be to:Deliver targeted intervention services to families with children aged 0-17 years.Provide specialized support to address issues such as domestic violence, parental mental health, substance abuse, intellectual or learning disabilities, and inadequate supervision.Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote parenting skills, improve family functioning, and enhance child development.Offer therapeutic support to children and young people to address trauma and improve wellbeing outcomes.Conduct regular outreach visits to families, ensuring ongoing support and monitoring progress.Collaborate with other professionals and community services to provide comprehensive support to families.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.Requirements for SuccessTertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field or relevant experience in the human services industryExperience working with vulnerable children and families.Strong understanding of child protection issues and family dynamics.Case management experience with trauma-informed practice and strength-based casework.Demonstrated ability to confidently address and challenge families, engaging in difficult conversations when necessary.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Current NSW Driver’s LicenseBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.Our cultureOur innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
