Drug Awareness Rehabilitation and Management (Drug ARM) is a not for profit organisation committed to reducing harms associated with alcohol and other drug use.  Drug ARM has been a specialist provider of alcohol and other drug services since 1980 and currently operates throughout Queensland and parts of New South Wales.

About the role

Drug ARM has an exciting opportunity awaiting you to join our 'day-based' rehab program. Providing structured and intensive support to individuals aged 18 and above facing moderate to severe substance dependence.

As a Case Worker, you'll be at the forefront of delivering evidence-informed, contemporary AOD programs. Employing psychosocial interventions backed by research, you'll lead individual and group counselling sessions focused on addressing harmful substance use, developing coping strategies, relapse prevention, and more.

From intake and assessment to discharge planning and post-treatment support, you'll be involved in every step of the client's journey towards recovery. With a focus on harm minimization and client-centered care, you'll have the opportunity to truly make a lasting impact.

About you?

The key experience and skills desired for this position are: 

• Undergraduate qualifications in health/human services OR
• Two (2) years’ experience delivering alcohol and other drug services; 
• Strong experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products; 
• Strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to make a difference.' 
• Strong community connections
