Requisition ID: req7744Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time We are seeking a passionate Full-time SST Case Worker (within our Supporting and Securing Tenancies program) to join our Coffs Harbour team. Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll collaborate with our customers to develop and implement person centred plans, guide and support customers to develop goals that will further enhance their living skills, community engagement, financial and health service access, pro-social activities, employment, education and training which will support customers to not re-offend. SST Case worker will provide early intervention and support to people who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless, currently experiencing homelessness and/or living in unsustainable and unsafe accommodation.You will collaborate with customers to develop and implement person centred plans, build individual and family capacity considering the needs of children, enhance living skills, resilience and community engagement, to assist with finding suitable long term accommodation.The day to dayManage a case load and support our customers with their re-integration to societyProvide information, advice and advocacy to customer utilising a person-centered approachDevelop and review case plan to reflect customer’s need and preferencePartnering with local services to deliver the programPartnering with community corrections to identify suitable participantsSustainable Tenancy support programs may also assist tenants in successfully achieving broader non-housing related outcomesIncreased linkages, referrals and access to services—including mental health, drug and alcohol, financial counselling and community support servicesEnhanced psychological wellbeing and mental health; for example, self-esteem, happiness, self-confidence, and a sense of security, safety and controlSkill and Experience Passion to assist vulnerable people to be housed is requiredRelevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge and experienceAbility and confidence to communicate and work with other staff outside of the immediate teamMust have the capacity to lift 10 Kilograms unassisted, in order to support customer needYou could benefit fromSalary packaging of up to $15,900+ in tax free payMonthly RDO's for full-time rolesAccess to flexible work arrangements and purchased annual leave programReward program that recognises your achievementsUtilise our Employee Assistance Program providing counselling servicesSupport in growing your career through mentoring and professional development opportunities To Apply:If you can see yourself in this rewarding role, please apply via the link now – our application process is mobile friendly.Please note that as part of our employment checks, we will request a police check from the last 24 months, a NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.To help make the process speedy we encourage you to have/apply for the checks upon application as there can be some delays in obtaining these checks through the relevant services.New Horizons values diversity and encourages applications from all people.
