JOB DESCRIPTION
Whilst on shift, the role will be responsible for completing the duties of an Airfield Reporting Officer (ARO) and Works Safety Officer (WSO) on behalf of the airport.

Key Responsibilities
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily ARO requirements during shift and perform WSO duties as required by the airport.
- Perform scheduled inspections of the aerodrome to assess and report on serviceability, including airfield lighting and obstacle limitation surfaces (OLS), and safety issues.
- Monitor security across the airport complex and facilities.
- Enact, enforce and report on airport policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage the terminal, apron and passenger flows.
- Manage the daily operation of the airport car parks and front of house.
- Perform Chief fire warden duties for the airport when on shift.
- Initial enactment of the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
- Carry out Wildlife Management Plan activities, including wildlife observation counts, harassment and deterrent activities.
- Adherence to legislation and regulation as it applies to the airport's operation.
- Current state driver’s license and the ability/willingness to obtain ADA license level 3
- Aeronautical Radio Operator’s Certificate (or ability/willingness to obtain)
- ARO/WSO Qualifications or experience
- State firearms license or ability/willingness to obtain
- Customer service experience
- Positive “can do” attitude with a love of aviation
- Enjoys working individually and as part of a team
- Communicates with influence - guides and educates where required
- Good time management skills – can plan their shift and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Computer and systems literacy including experience and use of the Microsoft Office suite products.
