The Role:
Join our fun and dynamic team at Pinjarra Bakery as a Baker/Pastry Chef, where you'll be whipping up daily delights like bread, cakes, pies, and pastries. Your day will be filled with measuring and mixing ingredients, ensuring every bite meets our high standards, and maintaining a spotless, safe kitchen. You'll also manage stock orders, perform quality checks, and help bring exciting new products to life. Plus, you'll build great relationships with your teammates while creating the delicious treats our customers love.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily production of bread, cakes, pies, & pastries.
- Measuring and mixing ingredients in large quantities.
- Reading, understanding, and preparing batters based on recipe instructions.
- Maintaining quality and quantity control by established standards.
- Food preparation.
- Keep the Production Manager informed of all issues, taking prompt corrective action or suggesting alternatives when necessary.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment for all staff, complying with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.
- Conduct weekly stock orders for ingredients, flour, packaging, and other items related to bakehouse production.
- Introduce and discontinue new product lines with approval from the family board.
- Pack products for distribution to all stores and occasionally handle deliveries.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must be qualified Pastry Cooks.
- At least 5 years of professional bakery experience.
- Proficient technical skills.
