All their menu items are made from quality produce, with their chefs working tirelessly to source premium quality produce from Australian farmers.
The Role
Volcanos Wetherill Park is looking for an individual who can oversee identification, slicing, trims, prepares, and arranges meat for sale or supply, operates meat or smallgoods processing machines, or manages the processes in the production of smallgoods.
Responsibilities
• Cutting, trimming, and mincing meat
• Operating meat-cutting machinery
• Seasoning, smoking, or marinating meat
• Processing meat into smallgoods and other meat-based products
• Weighing and pricing products
• Preparing in-store meat displays
• Selling to and advising customers
• Budgeting, stocktaking and negotiating with suppliers.
Qualifications and Requirements
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3
• At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy
• Awareness of hygiene and food safety standards
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to physically handle meat and machinery for long hours as required.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good customer service skills
Salary: $70,000
