Casual Chef, Cook & Kitchen Attendant Roles - New Venue

Fox Friday is gearing up for our official opening of our Perth Taproom (located in Burswood). Born out of Hobart, Tasmania, we’re a craft brewery known for making hoppy, hazy US-inspired IPA’s and crisp, refreshing pilsners and pales, with more to come with some exciting developments on the horizon. 

As we ramp up and prepare to open, we are recruiting for a range of casual roles within our kitchen team, including:

• Chef de Partie / Commis Chef
• Cooks / Prep Chefs
• Kitchen Attendants 

We are open to discussing full-time opportunities for successful candidates who are reliable and interested in further growth and development.

Experience, skills and knowledge

• previous experience working in food service and kitchen environments
• experience working in a high-volume, large-scale casual dining setting is highly desirable
• follow recipes, perform various cooking techniques and holds sufficient knife skills 
• use commercial cookery equipment and follow safe, efficient processes
• understanding and respect for WHS practice, including food safety protocols and requirements 
• team-oriented, with a clear, positive approach to communication
• overall interest and respect for being involved in creating and producing good-quality, high-standard food experiences

Key responsibilities

• perform all general tasks and work supporting food service and kitchen ops
• prepare food and menu items to a high standard, in line with menu specs
• liaise with and follow Senior Chef guidance and instruction
• keep sections and kitchen clean, ensuring a hygienic, efficient workspace
• follow and ensure safe food handling, allergy and hygiene protocols
• positive and respectful approach to work and working with others

Availability

Flexibility and availability is key. We are looking for a team who can work across a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
