The Esplanade Hotel, built in 1898, is a well-established family run business in the heart of Busselton. We have a casual and relaxed atmosphere, and open 7 days a week serving lunch, dinner and functions, with a recently renovated kitchen, updated bar and bistro area.
We are currently looking for qualified Chefs and Cooks to join our dynamic team in a Part Time or casual role.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have at minimum a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery, and at least 2 years' experience working in a busy restaurant.
You will be responsible for:
- Delegating tasks to kitchen staff.
- Informing wait staff about daily specials.
- Ensuring appealing plate presentation.
- Checking freshness of food and discarding out-of-date items.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Assisting the Head Chef in estimating food consumption.
- Training kitchen staff to effectively manage costs, maintaining the recipe standards, and cooking/preparation procedures.
- Maximizing the productivity of the staff while supporting them to improve their skill sets.
