Thanks to continued growth, Matrix seeks Traffic Survey Field Installers to join our team based in Sydney Metro (Rydalmere Base). You will be provided with full "on the job" training, travel/ vehicle allowance, tablet PC and mobile phone.
The job involves driving to different locations and installing road side traffic Survey Equipment, which includes but is not limited to; Traffic Counters, Video cameras, Bluetooth devices and noise loggers.
This position is Casual with potential opportunity to go full-time for the right candidate. This job suits someone looking for additional work to supplement their income from a "Day' Job, with the majority of work being during the evening and overnight, within School Terms.
The work requires precision, problem solving, proactive thinking and a safety-first mindset - we can teach you all the "hands-on" processes and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with team mates and traffic control when needed
- Monitoring equipment functionality and replace faulty/broken equipment when necessary;
- Report all road side traffic equipment related issues to project manager;
- Ensure installation is carried out according to mapping and instructions by project manager;
- Ensure that all equipment is tracking or recording required sources (vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, etc.) and collected appropriately on job completion;
- Carrying out quality assurance on collected survey data, including that the video recording is not interrupted by sunlight, rain, fog, etc and that data isn't faulty; and
- Adherence to workplace health & safety regulations, through completing QA sheets and Safe Work Documents correctly with attention to detail.
Important Qualifications
- Drivers licence;
- White card (required before your first day with us);
- Traffic Control / experience (desirable);
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (Including upkeep of future vaccinations/booster requirements as outlined by relevant State and federal government requirements
Working Conditions
The job requires outdoor work in a busy traffic environment on a regular basis. The work will take place mostly during the night, with regular work during the week with occasional weekend work.
