About the Role:
Reporting to the chef in charge of the shift, you will support the day to day operation of the Waterfront pantry and waurnponds estate
You will be required to be available to work between 7am-11pm, including some weekends and public holidays.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Having some experience with food preparation and food service.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen to our sanitation standards.
- Washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping of the floor.
- Putting away dishes, pots and pans and ensure that all the dishes are adequately sanitized.
- Removal of hard rubbish and the removal of kitchen food waste into our closed loop compost machine.
- Putting away pantry supplies and organising pantry shelves.
- Assist in food preparation.
- Effectively manage their work as directed by the chefs, to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the expected standards.
- Any other duties as directed from the Chefs.
