The directorate supports a range of ACU institutional strategies and strategic priorities led by the Office of the Provost. Education Pathways leads and supports, participation and success in tertiary education for a range of student cohorts, including equity groups, school and non-school leavers and Student veterans and their families. Education Pathways has national responsibility for the ACU English Language Centre, Equity and Inclusion, the Foundation Studies Program, the Tertiary Preparation Program (Health Sciences), Diploma Pathway Programs, Diploma of Languages, and Student Veteran Services.About Foundation Studies:Foundation Studies provides a pathway to domestic and international students to first year of study.Responsibilities:Ensure that all students are provided with expected learning outcomes, assessment tasks and methods and how and when students will be informed of their progress.Deliver class sessions in accordance with the unit outline, setting clear learning goals, scaffolding student learning and providing a range of learning activities and modes.Facilitate student understanding of assessment tasks, submission deadlines, and marking rubrics.Monitor and record student attendance and progress and report any concerns to the Coordinator.Provide timely feedback to students on their progress and facilitate their development as responsible independent learners.Participate in, and contribute to, consensus moderation for all assessment tasks within and across campuses.Participate in staff and campus meetings as requested by the Coordinator.Actively engage in professional development through participation in and contributing to workshops organised by Education Pathways, the University and professional associations.You will need to have:A recognised degree with a major in Mathematics or equivalent and a teacher education qualification which includes Mathematics teaching method.
