Casual Merchandise Staff – Taylor Swift, Melbourne Cricket Ground
Delaware North, a global hospitality and sports retail leader is excited to be preparing for our first concert as the new merchandise partner at the MCG. With multiple temporary hubs being set up around the outside of this iconic venue, Delaware North will deliver a fan-focused merchandising experience while providing quality and innovative products for fans.
We are now hiring for multiple positions to be a part of a team for this event:
- Point of Sale Attendants – customer service cashier position serving customers purchasing merchandise using point of sale systems
- Stock Attendants – responsible for ensuring stock is maintained in each hub, moving stock where required, setting up hubs, stocktake
- Runners – running stock/resources between hubs as required
- Crowd Control – ensuring queues are controlled and running smoothly, reporting crowd issues, directing people to ensuring correct queuing
- Supervisors – allocated to a zone, point of contact for any issues that may arise, ensuring your zone has everything required and running smoothly
To be considered for these positions, you will have:
- Previous experience in a retail or high-volume events environment
- Supervisor positions require previous experiencing managing large teams
- Experience using a POS system advantageous
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers and employees in a busy and loud environment
- Ability to lift boxes of stock, manual handling experience desirable
- Ability to work at a fast pace and remain cool under pressure
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time in a confined space
- You are okay with being around large crowds and working outside, as whilst we have some stalls on the inside of the venue, majority of the work will be outside of the stadium
