About the RoleWe have new opportunities at our Bribie Island Aged Care Service for people to join a dedicated team and provide kitchen and cleaning services. You will be responsible for undertaking food handling, cleaning and laundry duties in a variety of areas including the main kitchen, bedrooms, dining rooms and common areas.In this varied role your day-to-day responsibilities could include:
- Exceptional customer service, serving food to elderly residents;
- Setting up and clearing dining rooms and tray service to resident rooms;
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas;
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation;
- General cleaning duties.
About YouYou are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and can also work autonomously. You will be passionate about kitchen and cleaning duties and committed to providing excellent customer service to our residents. Working in a fast-pace environment you will have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.
Ideally you will have:- Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable, but not essential;
- Experience working in commercial kitchens and operating equipment is desirable;
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required;
- Current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
