Your part in St Andrew’s War Memorial
You will provide high quality, timely and appropriate levels of security, fire protection and safety services to St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital facilities to ensure the protection of staff, patients and visitors, the protection of property and information, and the control of traffic as required. This role will work directly with clinical staff and other hospital staff to provide positive patient outcomes as well as provide first response to security related incidents, fire and emergency incidents including liaising with Emergency Services.
What makes a difference for us?
Current Class 1 Security Provider Licence – enabled to carry out the functions of Security Officer (Unarmed and Monitoring), Crowd Controller and Body Guard.
Certificate II in Security Operations.
Senior First Aid Certificate.
Class C drivers' licence.
Minimum 12 months experience in the security industry as a Security Officer.
Demonstrated experience in communicating appropriately and effectively in a wide range of complex situations.
Demonstrated experience in providing services with a strong responsive customer service focus.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a collaborative way.
Demonstrated ability to apply ethical standards to decisions made on a day-to-day basis.
Physical capacity to perform the duties of the position including patrolling, responding and restraining persons.
Demonstrated experience in the use of computer systems, access control systems, CCTV and Fire Indication panels.
