You will have comprehensive training throughout your orientation, with ongoing learning and development. This includes:
- Specialist training opportunities
- Buddy shifts with CPA's experienced Disability Support Workers
- Opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support and/or a Certificate IV in Disability.
- We invest $5,000 in training in your first year
You MUST be available for coverage of weekday Morning shifts between 6AM-9AM or 7AM-10AM. (There may be other shifts available in the future for candidates who commit to these Morning Shifts, however at this stage we are strongly seeking Weekday Morning availability for our 6AM-9AM or 7AM-10AM shifts )
We can consider local candidates to Granville, Guildford, Chester Hill, Merrylands and Fairfield. Must be willing to travel to all locations.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering personalised support in a group home setting by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administrating medication and manual handling
- Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent
- Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community
- Building positive relationships with our clients
- Transporting clients, using CPA minivan, if applicable
- A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum) is preferred
- Live locally to the above mentioned suburbs
- Triple COVID-19 vaccinated
