You will have comprehensive training throughout your orientation, with ongoing learning and development. This includes:
- Specialist training opportunities
- Buddy shifts with CPA’s experienced Disability Support Workers
- Opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support and/or a Certificate IV in Disability.
We have permanent opportunities for Disability Support Practitioners to join our amazing team at our group home in Guildford. Ideally looking for experienced or lived experienced candidates, however people with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be considered.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering personalised support in a group home setting
- Providing in home support by assisting clients at meal times, with personal care and administering medication
- Assisting with domestic duties around the home
- Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community
- Socialise and build a happy and positive relationship with our clients
- Using CPA minivan to transport clients if applicable
Requirements
- NSW Driver's License
- Live locally to Guildford and the surrounding suburbs
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shift times as we operate 24/7
