SalaryShepheard VTS is looking for Casual Vacuum truck operators to join our team. Multiple positions available.
SHEPHEARD VTS is a reputable and established vacuum truck services company operating in the Southwest region of Western Australia. With a strong commitment to quality service and safety, we specialise in providing efficient and reliable liquid waste removal, septic tank cleaning, hydro excavation, and other essential services. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards and contributing to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain vacuum trucks for various tasks, including liquid waste removal and sewer cleaning.
- Conduct pre-start inspections of the vacuum truck and related equipment.
- Ensure proper loading, transportation, and disposal of waste materials in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records, including trip logs, maintenance records, and incident reports.
Requirements:
- Valid Australian HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's license, minimum. (MC preferable)
- Experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Be able to undertake a full commercial drivers medical, as well as Drug and Alcohol screening
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy hoses and occasional digging
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends, evenings, or overtime as required.
- High regard for safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
