Job description

Have you completed your Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing? Are you an experienced Vet Nurse seeking a casual role? We want to hear from you!

Qualified Certificate IV | Casual Vet Nurse Opportunities - Available immediately.

Emergency & Critical Care and Small Animal - short and long term periods available.

Work with a supportive and motivated group of vets, nurses and students in an accredited Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

The Companion Animal Health Centre (CAHC) is located on the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, surrounded by great lifestyle opportunities including the Barossa Valley, sporting activities, benchmark schools and shopping facilities.

To be successful you will need:

  • A Completed Vet Nurse Certificate IV qualification.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoy working effectively with a diverse range of clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and experience in assisting, teaching or mentoring others.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills to keep detailed, accurate medical records and write professional referral letters and client correspondence.

What is on Offer?

  • The opportunity to work in the Emergency or Small Animal Department 
  • Various casual shifts on a 24/7 roster available
  • $39.50 per hour plus an employer contribution of 12% superannuation applies. 
  • Loadings between 15% and 40% apply when working outside the normal span of hours in accordance with the University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement.
