Casual Zoologists (Mulitple Positions)

Ecology Australia is the longest-running ecological consultancy in Victoria, and is among the most experienced and highly regarded ecological consultancies in Australia. We work on a diverse and interesting range of projects for clients, particularly in the public sector.We are seeking Casual Zoologists for immediate start to join our highly skilled team of botanists, zoologists and aquatic ecologists. The ideal candidates will have a passion for zoology and fieldwork, and a desire to develop their skills in consulting and applied ecological research, with a good amount of availability over the autumn/winter 2024 season. You will have the opportunity to work in a rewarding and stimulating work environment, and to assist with a diverse and interesting range of projects.You should be prepared to work flexible hours, work away from home for short periods (e.g. field trips of 3-5 days' duration), and travel to remote field locations throughout south-eastern Australia, but mostly within Victoria.Position requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in science/environmental science.
• 4WD accreditation.
• Victorian driver's licence.
• Working with Children Check.
• The ability to work well in a team environment.
• An ability to deal with colleagues and clients with professionalism.

Conditions of EmploymentEcology Australia offers a flexible work environment. The casual zoologist positions will involve a large component of fieldwork and may involve some office work (e.g. data entry), depending on the individual requirements of each project.
