Your Role
To lead the profitable growth and management of the Casualty Underwriting team within NSW.

Your Responsibilities

  • Achievement of the Casualty financial budget
  • Underwriting Profit- Developing and implementing the team's business plan; in conjunction with Casualty Management to achieve the targeted Rate and Loss ratio
  • Premium Growth- Meeting growth objectives of business plan including New Business, Rate & Retention targets.
  • Sales & Marketing- Implement effective business development strategies to achieve financial targets and build long term relationships with Producers, Insureds and Independent Brokers
  • Underwriting Quality & Integrity- Ensure the team's adherence to appropriate underwriting standards 
  • Staff Development- Motivating, developing and leading your team to best do their role
  • Expense Control and Service Standards- Managing the Commission Plan and negotiating with producers to achieve budgeted Commission levels
Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience

  • Thorough Underwriting knowledge in Casualty
  • Proven record of successful underwriting management of a portfolio of Casualty business 
  • Proven record of successful growth of profitable specialty business, through both new business and renewal growth
  • Business acumen with strong market knowledge and networks
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills and strong relationship skills
