Overview of role:
This position is in the Land, Catchment and Approvals team which provides a range of environmental, planning and engineering services to support the implementation of a wide range of capital and non-capital projects. This role focuses on facilitating delivery of statutory and strategic planning expertise for source water catchment protection and enhancement and supports capital works program of the business as required.
A snapshot of your day
As our Catchment Land-Use Planning Coordinator, you’ll be accountable for:
Providing specialised professional advice and assessment of planning application referrals from Local Government Authorities
Understanding, monitoring and actioning any impacts from pollutants e.g. Land use change and development, Onsite Wastewater System management.
Ensuring facilitation of statutory planning approvals, as required, for capital projects (change and run)
Facilitating water industry focused strategic planning awareness, knowledge and skills within the team, across the business and with externally stakeholders.
Actively liaising with approval stakeholders, ensuring stakeholder and agencies’ needs are satisfied, their approval is gained and there is confidence in our action/solutions
To be considered for the role you’ll have tertiary qualifications in Regional or Urban Planning or Environmental Planning (or relevant industry experience).

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 ($91,714 - $110,681 plus super) salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
