Our client is looking to embrace such a shift and capitalise on the increased demand for more sustainable, battery-based energy storage through the production of lithium hydroxide for batteries within electric vehicles.
Description
The initial responsibilities of the role will have a favouring towards sourcing and pre-award activity, however as the procurement function matures the responsibilities will be more balanced across the end-to-end life cycle. The responsibilities of the role will include but will not be limited to the following:
- The ability to autonomously prepare, manage and evaluate the tender process, this will include general tender documentation, pricing submissions, negotiations, evaluation and recommendation documents, term and conditions reviews etc.
- The analysis of existing and the identification of new suppliers; engaging in direct negotiations as required to improve commercial outcomes, performance and or other measurables.
- The maintenance of the validity of contracts through the registry, this will include supplier performance reviews, variations, commercial reviews etc.
Profile
The successful individual would be expected to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience within a similar or equivalent position.
- Previous experience managing the source to contract process on a shutdown project would be considered highly desirable.
- Experience navigating SAP 4 HANA, with an ability generate and interpret operational reports.
- The proven ability to work within an autonomous, but collaborative small team.
