Want to be part of the biggest capital investment in health in Queensland History? Queensland is investing more than $14 billion in health infrastructure projects and a broad range of programs and initiatives, to relieve pressure on the public health system. This is the biggest capital investment in health in Queensland history.
The Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) System Procurement Project is responsible for the specification, contracting and purchasing of an estimated $1 billion in FFE required for the more than $14 billion capital investment the Queensland Government is making into health infrastructure.
The Category Advisor will provide specialist support in the management of medium to high value and complexity sourcing and category management activities, to deliver value for money through the implementation of category strategies and plans that deliver best practice procurement processes and outcomes.
What are we looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex tenders and developing and implementing supplier transition plans.
- An ability to develop and maintain a depth of knowledge of relevant supplier markets, capabilities and technology and is responsible for negotiating and facilitating implementation of long-term agreements and/or partnerships between suppliers and the projects.
- Demonstrated experience implementing contract management strategies and techniques, including strong negotiation skills and ability to successfully manage tender evaluation processes (leading to contract award for complex tenders).
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex customer and supplier issues, including the ability to resolve supplier performance issues; support internal customers in the development of complex specifications; and ensure materials/services are delivered according to contract.
- Cooperates and collaborates; support colleagues; is a good team player and does their share of the work. Recognises the positive benefits that can be gained from diversity.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the key drivers for all stakeholders, internal and external, and works to provide best value commercial solutions.
- Communicates confidently in a clear, concise, and articulate manner. Listens and seeks to understand the audience to have the best impact on the audience and avoid misunderstanding. Participates in constructive negotiations on how to achieve the best outcomes.
