Category Demand Planner

What will I contribute? 

To co-ordinate the Category demand and supply processes to optimise efficiency to meet service, target  and inventory levels 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare and generate weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports
• Ensure the demand planning process is timely, accurate and verifiable 
• Co-ordinate and maintain the short to mid-term forecast in conjunction with the sales and supply teams
• Analyse demand variances, identify trends and anomalies to improve short to mid-term forecast accuracy
• Assist with the implementation of optimum inventory levels to ensure delivery to meet agreed service levels
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our internal sales, supply teams and third-party supplier network to facilitate aligned inventory levels 
• Assist with contingency product in the event of product supply shortfalls and ensure sourcing of non-scheduled product adheres to the Approved Supplier Program

What do I need for the role? 

You’ll have: 

• At least 3 years' experience in a fast-paced demand planning environment
• An understanding of and experience with forecasting systems including the ability to extract information and reports
• Experience in developing and implementing processes designed to optimise Category order fulfilment efficiency and effectiveness
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and numeracy capability 
• Intermediate to advance Excel skill and Microsoft Office (v-lookups/pivots tables essential)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve outcomes
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or a related area
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
