Our Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced demand management professional to drive forecasting activities for CR Powered by Epiroc's customers and products within an S&OP process context. The Demand Planner will create and maintain forecast models, integrating business intelligence and information from various sources such as sales, marketing, finance, and product management. This role serves as the integration point between the commercial organisation and supply chain, leading monthly dialogues to ensure all forecast assumptions are captured. This is a hybrid role, based at our Murarrie office.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be detail-oriented and experienced in managing demand within an industrial manufacturing, distribution, or outsourced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, relationship management, and possess advanced numerical and Excel skills. This role requires resilience, the ability to meet deadlines, and effectively juggle multiple priorities with a flexible and autonomous approach.
Key accountabilities:
- Manage the implementation of the Demand Planning process/activities to meet targeted timelines as per CR Powered by Epiroc's S&OP process
- Develop demand forecasts at various levels of aggregation and units of measure for multiple locations
- Analyse historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and prepare forecast data
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to refine forecast models
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management to understand demand drivers
- Document all assumptions used to build forecasts and share findings with supply planning
- Utilise advanced Demand Planning software or techniques as the primary forecasting tool
- Coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
- Identify and implement process improvements and IT platform changes.
