This is a vital position reporting to our Supply Chain Manager, and working closely with the sales channel leaders to own the global sales forecast, ensuring it is properly assessed, weighted, and the right mix of products are available to meet the forecasted budgets at any one time.
This role is both strategic and analytical, assisting to deliver in full and on time what the company needs to achieve its budgets, whilst driving improvements in systems, processes, stock turn frequency, and capturing missed opportunities.

Key responsibilities:
- Accurate product forecasting, evaluation, and management of product demand and supply plans for both our US and Australian operations
- Monthly evaluation of projected product demand and allocation of supply
- Management of inter-entity and international distributor inventory needs and movements
- Provide input in Supplier / Manufacturer Purchase Order projections and maintain a 12 month rolling forecast
- Liaise with the logistics team to plan, manage, and optimise inventory flow and support optimum working capital allocation in global shipments
- Maintaining metrics and analysing data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Coordinating SKU range reviews including optimizing colour mixes in key ranges to reduce replenishment times
- Analysing stock on hand reporting and recommending stock transfers and consolidations
Key deliverables in first 3 – 6 months:
- Feet under the desk and build a strong rapport with the team and stakeholders
- Fully understand the business, processes, and systems
- Up to speed with available data following detailed analysis of history, growth trajectory, seasonality, trends, order cycles, top SKUs etc
- Fully understand budget and inventory through forecast testing and accuracy
- Understand key drivers of revenue, replenishment cycles, and how to optimise across 8 sales channels
- Ensuring sales forecast accuracy through detailed analysis and challenge it where appropriate
- Assess inventory against budget and ensure adequate product mix available in line with 5-month manufacturing and shipping timeframe and monthly ordering cycles
- Support short term 4-week inventory allocation across channels, successfully driving sales teams to move overstocks
- Contribute to sales and operation planning meetings, forecasting 12 months ahead and ensuring metrics are properly justified
- Review systems and processes currently used by the business and identify opportunities for improvement
Key deliverables in first 12 months:
- Continuously drive improvements to forecast accuracy and achievement
- Contributing to both long and short term goals through data analysis
- Increased stock turns
- Out of stock lost opportunities decreased
- Forecast achieved through holding the correct stock
- Ensure systems used are continuously reviewed, improved, automated, and streamlined
- Owning sales operations planning process with Supply Chain Manger and CEO, supporting discussion with sales channel leaders
- Successfully allocate resources based on cashflow
About our ideal candidate:
- Expert level NetSuite skills
- 3-5 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role within the retail industry
- Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way
- Team player that is comfortable to challenge and hold people to account based on actuals derived from data analysis
- Previous demand planning, global end-to-end supply chain and inventory optimisation experience
- Experience in evaluating and increasing accuracy of demand plans
- Intimately skilled in data analysis
- Experience in aligning supply to meet approved sales targets
- Excellent oral, written, and numeric skills
- Time management skills with the ability to manage deadlines in a changing environment
- A strong attention to detail
- An enthusiasm and a proactive mind set around continuous improvement of processes and systems
- Strategic thinking skills and the ability to develop strategies and plans for complex situations
