Join Mountain Blue as a Category Demand Planner. This role requires strong attention to detail and organisational skills, working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Category Manager, you'll play a vital role in facilitating smooth communication between the business, customers, and growers.
The Category Demand Planner (CDP) will be responsible for preparing daily information for the Category Manager (CM) and work collaboratively with cross-functionally for The Berry Collective (TBC) and their members. They have a “can do” attitude and understand that communication outside of standard business hours is considered a standard part of the role. There are opportunities for progression beyond this role for the right candidate. Day to day roles include.
- Collate the customer and grower forecasts internally for the Blueberry, RUBUS (Raspberry and Blackberry) and Other categories. They will build and communicate the volume and provide it to the Category Manager and provide production plans.
- Prepare the forecasts for our major accounts in consultation with the Category Manager and National Business Manager (NBM) including updated forecast and program changes.
- Ensuring optimum inventory levels across all SKUs and 3rd party logistic providers (3PLs)
- Managing quality reporting to Growers on a daily basis.
- Provide backup to the CM and NBM when they are on leave or unavailable regarding communication to growers and retailers.
- Create tray and punnet forecasts to the CM and NBM for internal distribution and assist in managing national volumes across the country.
- Provide backup support to the Compliance Manager when either unavailable or on annual leave.
- Be the first line of support for 3PLs regarding the internally developed management system and administration.
