You will be responsible for leading the Medical Consumable category team and have accountability for the development and implementation of the category strategic vision ensuring its alignment with the overall procurement strategy for Queensland Health.
The Category Director (Medical Consumables) will be responsible for managing and providing leadership, support and guidance to the category team and for developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies across the medical consumable portfolio. The incumbent will be responsible for negotiating and facilitating implementation of long-term agreements and/or partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The incumbent will also be involved in facilitating and driving cost reduction initiatives within the category by improving performance and quality and by driving down total cost of ownership within the supply base.
